Sick and more presents

I must say what a week.  Tuesday night I posted happy pictures and rejoiced in finding out what baby cuz is.  Things began to fall apart shortly there after.  I noticed Hudson was acting a little different Tuesday night while at Nana and Pop's but I figured it was due to a busy day at daycare and the rush of the evening.  Wednesday morning we woke up not feeling so well.  I called the pediatrician's office in fear of the flu.  Several children at daycare had the flu the previous week and this week.  I was told just to wait and look for a fever.  Well no fever ever came to visit.  Hudson continued to feel bad but seem to be a little better Friday and most of Saturday.  Sunday morning we woke up with a horrible cough.  We stayed home from church in fear of what Hudson had, could catch or pass along to others.  As soon as 1:00 pm arrived I called the pediatrician's office and off we went.  I just hope while visiting the pediatrician's office today we didn't pick up any more germs from the mounds of people visiting.  So Hudson has bronchitis and fluid in both ears.  So yay for germs (note HUGE amount of sarcasm here)....we are sick again.  To those who we may have given this germ to I am truly sorry.  I hate when Hudson is sick....breaks my heart.
Today I am going to be thankful for my job.  Today I am thankful for having that little white and blue card in my purse that helps with the medical care and medicines that Hudson received.  Not only did this little white and blue card get excellent care for Hudson today it also helped me snatch his daddy up over 8 years ago.  We all know the only reason Russ married me is because I have that little white and blue card in my purse.  Thanks BCBS for helping me find a husband.  All that insurance and snatching led to Hudson so I am extra thankful for the little white and blue card.  Ask me again in the morning how thankful I am for this little card when I am leaving Hudson so I go work to continue paying for the little card and all it brings.  I am sure I will be singing the blues because only his momma should take care of him when he is sick.  He will be with his Grandmomma having lots of fun....thanks to E.H. Gentry School and sending all the blind/deaf kids home for Christmas.  What we would do without Grandmomma and Nana?

Friday Hudson had his first Christmas party at Daycare.....I call it Aunt Elizabeth's.  Here Hudson is with Aunt Elizabeth.  I will say he preferred her over me at the party.   I think she has taken part in spoiling this little boy.  I'm not sure how its going to go in January with two new babies.  I know Aunt Elizabeth has enough love for all of them just not sure how Hudson will do having to share :)

Present time....Thanks Rita for the giggling cow.

This present was from Aunt Elizabeth.....Thank you.  We had trouble getting past the name tag but once we got into the box we could not get enough of all the goodies.

Eating toast for the first time Saturday morning.

Saturday we had Christmas with Nana's side of the family.  Here is Hudson and Uncle Chad playing.

Opening more presents.  We are getting really good at this opening presents stuff.  Christmas morning should be lots of fun.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

Presents......

Hudson got his first Christmas present on Monday.  His sweet friend Blakeney sent him a special gift.  We let Hudson open it and as you can tell he had a ball.  (Sorry for the camera problems...not sure what happened)

Blakeney gave Hudson a tiger boggin and a Christmas ornament.  The new boggin is just in time for this miserable cold weather we have been having.  Isn't he adorable?

I finally did something right with the camera at this point.

I ordered Hudson Christmas bedding.  I thought I would share a few pictures. The sheets are flannel which I love.

Speaking of cold weather and flannel sheets does any body else worry themselves sick that your baby is too cold at night.  Hudson sleeps in his own room which he prefers but I lay awake at night watching the thermometer.  I use to lay awake watching him sleep/breathe when he was in our room now its the temperature I watch.  Nana and Pop picked up a heater for his room the other night which has been a tremendous help.  I have slept a little more this week knowing the heater is there.  Oh and we slept to 6:04 this morning.  I know...such improvements.

Tonight Aunt Alli and Uncle Jared finally decided to share the news regarding the gender of their little bundle of joy.  I guess they saved the best for last because they made us wait all day and told everybody else first.  At least that is what I am telling myself....saving the best for last :)  No I am not going to tell you their news but you can read it yourself just click  http://jaredandallisonwesley.blogspot.com/
We are so happy for them and can not wait to meet baby cuz.  Oh and Russ finally knows if he is an Uncle or Aunt.........

Nana fixed us supper which was wonderful as always and on so many levels.  Not only is she an amazing cook my night was less stress, running around and allowed me to put new pictures up.

Weekend

Hudson thinks he should pull ALL light pulley's.  Every time you walk past one at home he reaches for it.

Faith stopped by for a few hours Saturday for a visit.  Hudson and Faith played so hard together.  They chased each other all around the house.  Of course they were both so busy playing that I could not get both of them to sit still long enough to get a good picture.

This is what it looked like at our house Sunday morning at 4:30 am.  Yes you read that right.  For the past week we have been up at either 4:30 or 5:30.  This would be the reason no post for the week.  I am trying to get to bed as fast as I can.  I had hoped that the 8 - 9 month sleep regression had already past but apparently it decided to come back for a second visit.

Guess Hudson thought he should help get the laundry basket up and help his Mom since he was up so early.

Hudson tried pancakes for the first time Sunday morning.  They were dry and Hudson only had a few bites and he fed himself.  I think he could have eaten more.

Hudson and his dad had fun playing Sunday afternoon.  They let me get all things Hudson ready for the week and finish up some last minute housework.  Doesn't this game look fun?  I wish you could have seen Hudson's face he was SO excited.  I attempted a better picture but I am NOT a photographer and they were too fast for me.

Of course like all weekends this one went by too fast.  We mostly stayed home and tried to stay warm.

Weekend in review

We had a good and busy weekend.  Our friend Blakeney had a birthday this weekend but we were unable to go since she lives so far away.  Although we thought about her and her special day - Happy Birthday Blakeney.
Here is a picture of Hudson and Blakeney from a playdate they had couple months ago.  We can't wait for many more.  It was impossible to get both of them to look at the camera but this pretty much sums up the playdate.  They passed the music box back and forth.

We were able to go to Kaleigh's birthday party.  Hudson and Luke were able to hang out for a little while.  Can't you see it brewing?  I see lots of mischief, cow and football talk.

Hudson was ready for game day as you can tell with his Auburn attire.  Hudson had so much faith in his tigers this is what he looked like throughout the first half of the game.

We got ready for church Sunday but once again we didn't make it due to nap time being right in the middle of Sunday school and Worship service.  I had to take a picture of him in his Christmas outfit since Christmas is fast approaching.

Busy pulling up and trying to walk on his own.

I had to resort to the changing table seatbelt this weekend.  Its for safety measures not just because I want to be mean.  Its the only way I can figure out how to get him to be still long enough to get diaper and clothes changed.

Hudson's Christmas tree.  We finally decorated for Christmas this weekend.

Don't you just love the the Christmas stocking on the left?  I've dreamed of this for so long.

We made Christmas ornaments for Hudson's grandparents and for our tree.

Weekends go by entirely too fast.

My boys..........

I love watching and listening to Russ and Hudson playing.  I thought I would share this picture.  It does not do them justice but its so great being in the other room watching and listening to the squeals and screams.  Hudson really lights up when he hears or sees his daddy.  There is not much you can do on the farm after dark so Russ is able to be around a lot more these days.  Hudson and I both are really loving having him home more.  Hudson has started saying da-da.  Not to be mistaking that he said momma first (I started practicing with him at 7 weeks....its never to early to start learning right?)

They are both learning how to share the Auburn football.

Happy 9 months!!!!

Since I am a little late starting this blog thing I thought I would review in pictures.  Hudson turned 9 months old today.  Time sure does fly when you are having this much fun.  I can not believe how fast and how much he has grown.  He is such a blessing and I am so thankful GOD sent him to Russ and I.

Moments after Hudson was born
this picture was taken right after he was cleaned up but before being taken to the NICU.

I had to take Hudson to the doctor today.  Although I wish we would not have had a need to see the doctor I enjoyed all the extra time I could with Hudson.  Hudson was entirely too busy to sit still for me to take a picture.  Hudson is all boy.  He already is a dare devil, loves to climb, loves sportscenter (not interested at all in cartoons), the remote control, hanging out in just his underwear and no one has told him yet that he can not walk but he thinks he can.  Hudson will let go of whatever he is holding on to and attempt to take off.  Hudson weighed 19.11 today.  He has gained 6 oz in two weeks.
Happy 9 months Hudson!!!!!!
